19th century table from northern China's Shan Xi province. The table has 3 full-length drawers and brackets to decorate its sides. The table top used the ingenious "floating panel" construction, which allows the main inset panel to expand and retract according to climate and humidity level, without affecting the structure of the top and function of the table. Beautiful, original brass hardware. Splendid, gorgeous time achieved patina.
