ANTIQUE DIAMOND WINDOW
What seems like a simple design is not at all simple, when it comes to a Chinese antique wood window. The amazing diamond pattern is formed by cutting, shaping and connecting numerous little pieces of wood via joinery such as tenons and mortises. Not a single nail or a drop of glue is used in its construction. Such a window can be found in an elaborate estate in southern China in the 19th century. Its linear Ming design is timeless.
