A small, fine example of Kwan Yin in the act of standing, one of the 4-piece 19th century collection we recently acquired. Kwan Yin is seated on a high lotus throne. Her robe is fluid and soft. She wears a necklace and wears her hair high. Her facial features, hands and feet are finely depicted. Gorgeous colors and gilding. Kwan Yin is the Chinese Goddess of Mercy, she is believed to bring good health and great fortune.
