These beautiful 19th century antique chinese window screens are wonderful examples of Ming Dynasty's simple elegant style of home furnishing. Lines are formed painstakingly by hand via the traditional joinery method of tenons and mortises. Unlike the common block bars, these bars are tapered on the front end, exhibiting an highly elegant style. A solid wood locking mechanism is found on the bottom of each panel indicating their previous function. These wooden locks still work perfectly.
These are solid, substantial panels that have an airy, contemporary, zen feel. Together or on their own, mounted on the wall or connected as a screen, they make beautiful, sophisticated additions to your home.
