This type of dish is used on the Tibetan Altar to hold offerings such as cakes, candies and small fruits. The dish itself is very finely done with an overall lotus pattern and pierced "petals". There are 4 swallows, the bird of good news, among the flowers. The entire dish is hand hammered and crafted in the traditional Tibetan style.

Such a piece is hard to come by as they usually remain in the temple. Altar wares are treasured as they are believed to be blessed and hence bring good fortune and prosperity.
