A wonderful bronze statue of the teacher, Padmasambhava, also called Guru Rinpoche. He is considered the founder of the oldest school of Tibetan Buddhism. He is depicted sitting, wearing a special crown with upturned ear flaps and a spring at the top. As hardly anyone else in Tibetan iconography, Guru Rinpoche is pictured with a beard. He holds scepters in his hands, is seated on a lotus throne. He is decorated with sashes and flowers.
This is a substantial statue showcasing pure dedication, fine craftsmanship and great artistry.
