This wonderful piece has all the hallmarks of Tang San Cai terracotta potteries with skilfully applied glaze achieving amazing artistic effect. Horse's vivid expression bring the piece to life. His muscles are well defined. The horse is a blue spot stallion, a type of horse that is reserved for the imperial court according to legend.
