A beautiful hand carved statue of Goddess of Compassion, Kwan Yin, as a teacher. Kwan Yin is seated with her right hand on the right leg up on a solid base, left hand holding a scroll of book. Dressed in a robe draping over her torso, covering both shoulders, further stretched over the knees and pooled elegantly around the legs exposing the right foot. Her face with gentle features set in a benevolent expression, almond-shaped downcast eyes beneath high arched brows above pursed lips, all flanked by long ear lobes and beneath a pronounced hairline framing the forehead and surmounted by a rounded ushnisha. An urna in the middle of the forehead symbolizes enlightenment.
