The famed Rose Chair first began its long legacy in the Song Dynasty when they tend to be wider and shorter. Ming dynasty revolutionized China's furniture by elevating and streamlining it, removing frivolous decorations and refining it with superior woods.
The Rose Chair, is often delicate and smaller than other Ming furniture. Its signature is a distinctive open back framed with carved boarders and straight, square arm rests. Ours are made of beautiful elm wood and very elegant. This is the only pair we have in our "Ming Chair Collection".
