ANTIQUE CARVING WOOD CARRIER
FEATURES: This is one of the 3 extraordinary carving panels in our "light relief" collection. The image of a man carrying a bundle of firewood on his way home with his child is a symbol of diligence and good virtue. Pine trees in the background symbolize longevity. Mountains and willows add to the beauty of the piece. Delicate, light hand carving methods were used, resulting in elegance and fludity. Yet no details were omitted. Wonderful details such as the folds of the clothes and facial expressions can be observed.
