A rare 19th century hand carved stone statue of a dancer. Standing on a base with carved peony motif, the dancer has a serene face with pursed lips under downcast eyes and straight nose. She wears a long robe that covers her hands and legs. The dancer's face and bodice are silvered. The stone is of a granite nature and shows splendid colors when wet. The silvered face and body are iridescent under the light and in water.
