A stunning 19th century Chinese apothecary cabinet with 64 regular and 3 large drawers under a moulded cornice. Labeled in refined, hand written Chinese calligraphy with the names of herbs, each drawer is divided into 4 sections providing perfect organization. Beautiful yellow lacquer is extremely rare and beautiful. Cabinet has elegant carved scrolls decorating the top sides with curved legs adding visual interest, a classic Northern Chinese design. Solid wood throughout using tenons and mortises joinery. Very stable and substantial. This is the last piece of our antique apothecary collection, a remarkable one of a kind piece.
