A rare, natural gemstone Sodalite reclining Buddha statue. Of the highest grade Sodalite, with saturated deep royal blue. Carved lying on his right side with hand supporting the head, dressed in a long robe with rippling folds, the face with serene expression flanked by pendulous earlobes. The broad face with closed eyes and pursed lips under high arched brows. Buddha rests on a long lotus throne which is part of the one-piece sculpture carved from a single boulder of solid gemstone. The back of the statue is carved depicting large leaves. This is a very special piece due to the rarity to using sodalite as the material for the statue. Sodalite is powerful in bringing clarity and inner peace. 8 lb.
