A charming set of four miniature bronze censers, finely cast with substantial, heavy weight and a rich dark patina with warm copper highlights. Each is modeled after a different classical Chinese vessel form: a rounded tripod censer with upright handles and 佛 (Buddha) medallion; a low circular bowl with bold loop handles; a compact ding-form tripod with tall handles; and a rectangular four-footed censer with graceful curled handles. Beautifully proportioned and finely detailed, this precious set offers a wonderful miniature study of traditional Chinese bronze forms—equally striking displayed together as a collection or individually as sculptural decorative objects.
