A finely cast Tibetan gilt bronze figure of a Buddhist deity seated in lalitasana (royal ease) on a double-lotus throne beneath an ornate shrine-like backplate surmounted by the sacred Bodhi tree. The deity displays a serene expression with almond-shaped eyes, elongated earlobes, and a high chignon, and is richly adorned with jewelry and flowing robes. The right hand is shown in varada mudra, the gesture of generosity and blessings, while the left hand holds the stem of a lotus, symbolizing purity and spiritual awakening. The throne is exceptionally detailed, with finely cast lotus petals, beaded borders, and an architectural base supported on four splayed legs. Flanking the principal figure are two diminutive attendant figures seated upon lotus pedestals, reinforcing the shrine-like composition. The back of the statue is etched with devotional expressions. Beautifully detailed throughout, the sculpture retains its warm gilt surface, making it an elegant devotional object and a stunning example of Himalayan Buddhist art.
