A twentieth century Han dynasty style bronze recumbent horse with three legs tucked under the body and head slightly turned. The well incised mane gathered neatly forming a ridgeline on his back behind the forward-pricked ears. The muscular body and head are naturalistically modelled while the robust rump is exaggerated in contrast. A foreleg in the forward motion and expressive eyes convey a sense of guard and alert.
