Vintage Abacus

This is an authentic, original Chinese abacus that was actually used in the early 20th century. The Abacus being an ingenious calculator has been used in China for over a thousand years. Its accuracy and speed remains extraordinary till this day of age. This special piece has a tenon-mortise, solid elmwood frame reinforced by brass brackets. Hand-cut solid wood beads are fully intact on the structurally sound bamboo bars. The beads are substantial but perfectly smooth due to frequent use and fast movements.
